About The Project

The brief for this terms community project was: "Make a short documentary promoting the community work of the BRIT School"

Our group was allocated, Selhurst Childrens Centre, a project run by Kerry Western.
(http://www.selhurstchildrenscentre.co.uk/). The centre looks after children ages 2-4.5 and has a range of family support provisions.

The project consisted of Interactive Media students creating a video/animated year book. Each student worked with a child from the centre to create a short video clip.

Our group needed to capture the students working on the project and the preparation leading up to the final show. As working with children had some limitations (see post above). It had taken us a while to get permission to film the children. However we were able to film the children getting ready to leave the centre, and then walking down to the BRIT School and finally their reactions to the final presentation.

We also got some before the presentation and after the presentation interviews with two students, Dino and Chris, to break up the footage of the project.
